River of Pines Lodge is located approximately 11 miles west of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania on Route 6. The Lodge sits on the North bank of Pine Creek and overlooks Pine Creek and hundreds of acres of State Forest land on the creek's South bank.
Enjoy a fully stocked modern kitchen, complete with a breakfast bar, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Includes cooking utensils and dinnerware.
Two decks overlooking Pine Creek and a 16' x 16' screened porch for outdoor eating. The upper deck is great for soaking up the rays of the sun, while the lower deck offers shady relaxation.
The master bedroom includes a king-size bed; the second bedroom offers a queen-size bed. Total occupancy is 4 persons.
The bath offers both a shower and a large 2-person whirlpool tub. Towels, bed linens, pillows and blankets are furnished.
The lodge has cathedral ceilings with skylights.
There is a 52-channel cable TV and VCR for your enjoyment. A phone is available; a credit card or phone card is necessary for long distance calls.
A large LP gas grill, charcoal grill, and campfire ring are available for outdoor cooking.
Easily accessible from Route 6, the 10-acre lot assures complete privacy.
Excellent trout and small-mouth bass fishing are just a few steps away. The Lodge includes a 3 mile private walking/biking trail, is close to excellent public hiking and biking trails as well as many miles of scenic State Forest roads for auto tours. Five stocked fishing lakes (two with beaches and swimming areas) are just a half-hour drive away.
The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, with overlooks at both Colton Point State Park and Leonard Harrison State Park, is 3 miles away. The area's leading canoe and rafting outfitters are located just down the road, and bicycle rentals are available too.
For winter visitors, Denton Hill Ski Area is less than 20 minutes west on Route 6. A snowmobile trail travels right past the lodge and a cross country ski trail is located directly across Pine Creek.
There are least five fine restaurants located along Route 6 in the immediate area of the Lodge, and many fine eateries can be found in nearby Wellsboro. Both Galeton and Wellsboro have a variety of shops, stores and markets. Click on the Activities Page for more information.
